Community Benefits

The mission of Exeter Health Resources and its affiliates is to help improve the health of the community—a mission that is of utmost importance to our clinical and professional staff of more than 2,000 employees.

Exeter Health Resources serves 35 communities in the Seacoast region with a population of 223,155. During the 2006 fiscal year, Exeter Health Resources and its affiliates provided $18.9 million in community benefit programs. We believe no one should be denied health care services because of inability to pay. Education and wellness programs, mobile health and dental care for the uninsured, subsidized health services, and financial support of other organizations and agencies vital to the health of our community are just a few of the ways Exeter Health Resources gives back to the Seacoast area. Every five years, Exeter Health Resources, in collaboration with other key area healthcare agencies, undertakes a Community Needs Assessment to identify, prioritize, and address critical health issues. The next Community Needs Assessment will take place in 2008. To view the 2003 Community Needs Assessment Click here (Adobe Acrobat PDF),
